   For 115 years, the Conway Family has proudly served the Elma, Cresco, Riceville, and New Hampton areas.  It all began with Jerry Conway, the "father" of the present Conway Funeral Home.  He started his cabinet-making business in 1886 and was called upon to provide coffins for the dead.  His cabinet-making business led to the establishment of the funeral and furniture business in Elma.

    Jerry and his wife, Anna (Byrnes), were joined in their business by their eldest son, Edward, in 1912.  After Jerry's death in 1934, and Edward's death in 1937, Edward's widow, Doris, operated the business for another twenty-six years.

    Robert and James, Edward's and Doris' two eldest sons, continued in the family business.  Robert joined in 1938, and James followed him 2 years later in 1940.

    Robert's son, Edward, purchased the Perry Funeral Home in New Hampton in 1962.  James' son, Donald, purchased Peckosh Funeral Home in Cresco in 1968.  In 1973, the Riceville Funeral Home was established and added to the family business. 

    In October of 2000, Ed Conway and his wife Ann decided it was time to retire and enjoy spending time with their ever growing family.  Brady and Andrea (Roberson) Kolbet purchased the New Hampton and Elma Funeral Homes in October of 2000.   

    February 1 of 2002 Brady and Andrea Kolbet made an addition to the Conway name as Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in both New Hampton and Elma.  We are proud to carry on the tradition of excellent funeral service in the New Hampton and Elma areas.  We will serve our families with honesty and integrity in order to provide you with the peace of mind, comfort, and support you need throughout the healing process.
