Helen E. Roths age 81, of New Hampton died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo following heart surgery.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph’s Center with Msgr Carl Schmitt and Father John Harpel concelebrating the mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at New Hampton.

Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4:00 pm and Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 pm.

Helen Elizabeth (Condon) Roths was born on December 30, 1925 to John and Clara (Sweet) Condon in New Hampton, Iowa. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in New Hampton and graduated from New Hampton High School. After graduation, she was employed by Oliver Corporation and later with White Manufacturing in Charles City, Iowa working in the office for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Helen was united in marriage to Charles Roths on May 22, 1947 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hampton. The couple resided in Ionia and moved to New Hampton in 1954 where she resided until her death.

Helen led an active life and she especially enjoyed her family and friends.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph’s Center and Catholic Daughters.

Helen is survived by two daughters Pat Roths of Jesup, Iowa and Karen Reicks and husband Bill of Lawler; four grandchildren Erin Hanrahan and husband Scott of St. Louis Park, MN., Graig Reicks and wife Stephanie of Brookings, SD, Aric Reicks of Sioux City, IA and Seth Reicks of Ames, IA.; three brothers Maurice Condon of Dunkerton, IA., John Condon of New Hampton and Michael Condon and wife Jane of Metuchen, NJ. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Condon, husband Charles who died on August 6, 2003, one brother James Condon, one sister Mary Coen and sister-in-law Barbara Condon.
